Staff & Faculties
A team of 49 well-qualified, dedicated and caring faculty members, who give their time and their knowledge to the children of the BTR region — and who mean to be remembered for more than the syllabus they covered.
Why It Matters
To meet the highest educational expectations of parents and guardians across the BTR region of Assam, and to become a symbol of progressive education for the high-tech generation, St. John's Higher Secondary School, Barama, is supported by a team of well-qualified, dedicated and caring faculty members.
Our teachers devote their time and knowledge to nurturing young minds, inspiring them with a clear vision for life rooted in social, ethical and moral values, and preparing them to become responsible citizens of our nation.
“Education without heart is no education at all.”
The management and staff firmly believe in this principle. Therefore, the faculty members of St. John’s dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to becoming the torchbearers who guide every Johnian towards a brighter future.

What We Ask of a Teacher
Qualification gets a teacher through the door at St. John's. What keeps them at the front of a classroom is rather harder to certify.
Post-graduates, trained graduates and subject specialists, appointed against the class they teach.
A child is known by name and by temperament long before they are known by a mark sheet.
Social, ethical and moral values are taught the way they are learnt — by example, daily.
Teaching kept fit for a high-tech generation, without letting the method outrun the child.
The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.
It is an unforgiving standard, and we hold to it anyway. Every name on the roll below has been entrusted with somebody’s child for six hours of every working day — a responsibility this school has never treated lightly.
How the Faculty Is Organised
A Johnian passes through three distinct stages between LKG and Class XII, and each is staffed for what it actually demands.
First letters, first numbers, first habits of school.
