The people who have held the school

Nine Principals since the founder opened the gates in 1985, and twenty Headmistresses since 1988. Johnians record their names here, in order, with gratitude.

1985

It began with Rev. Fr. Kulandaisamy

The founder led St. John's for its first twelve years, from the opening in 1985 until 1997 — the years in which the school became a school.

Every Principal since has inherited an institution built by the one before. St. John's is grateful to all the Principals and Headmistresses, and to the teaching faculties who have rendered selfless and dedicated service in shaping the students and making the institution a qualitative one.

The Silver Jubilee

St. John's Higher Secondary School, Barama completed 25 years of its existence in 2010, and celebrated its Silver Jubilee on the 12th and 13th of February that year.
