Smart Classroom
Lessons you can see
To improve interaction, interest and efficiency in the classroom, St. John's runs technology-enabled classrooms with interactive whiteboards and short-throw projectors.
To secure the best software content for the students' academic brilliance in a creative approach, the school works in conjunction with EBIX Smart Class Educational Services Pvt. Ltd.
Students are better equipped to understand complex ideas thanks to the smart classrooms, which also help pupils take an interest in a variety of disciplines, satisfy their curiosity, and provide the atmosphere that best promotes learning.

Library
More than ten thousand books
The school library holds a good selection of over 10,000 books covering the academic disciplines, alongside a wide range of storybooks, encyclopaedias and general knowledge titles.
Teachers and students can also use a dedicated reference area. To digitise the library and organise its use in support of academic achievement, a well-qualified librarian has been recruited.

Science Lab
Four distinct laboratories
Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology each have their own room. Every student gets first-hand experience of all practical demonstrations in professionally maintained labs, equipped with apparatus and chemicals.
The laboratories hold a special assortment of slides, charts, models and specimens that correspond to the prescribed curriculum. A total of 45 to 50 students can be accommodated in the labs simultaneously.

Math Lab
Mathematics you can pick up and turn over
Through more than 1,000 collaborative activities and manipulatives, the school's mathematics lab helps pupils master a wide variety of mathematical concepts.
The lab follows the academic requirements of students from Class I through Class XII and gives them hands-on experience. Young learners become comfortable with complex mathematical ideas far more readily once the lab has made those ideas visible.

Computer Lab
Two laboratories, primary and senior
There are two separate computer labs — one designed for the primary section, another for the high school and higher secondary segments — built to improve the learning process and help pupils become technologically confident.
To meet the children's instructional requirements, both labs are equipped with personal computer systems, a short-throw projector with interactive whiteboards, and a dedicated optical fibre-based broadband internet connection with net computing.
Between them the two laboratories hold 89 computers, which keeps the technical instruction and the learning process focused on the students themselves.

RFID Cards
A card at the gate, a record in real time
RFID cards are an efficient and accurate way of tracking student movement. As students enter and leave the school gate they simply scan their card, letting the school keep real-time records of their movements.
The system not only ensures accurate attendance tracking but also gives a comprehensive view of who is present within the school premises at any given time. It lets the school identify and address discrepancies quickly, and restrict access to authorised individuals only.
At St. John's H.S. School the safety and well-being of our students are our first priority. RFID at the gate is a significant step towards a secure and vigilant campus, and we are grateful for the support of parents as we continue to invest in it.

Online Teaching
Taking the school digital
St. John's Higher Secondary School, Barama is a symbol of progressive and quality education. Our motto, "Let Your Light Shine", captures the essence of our spirit.
In our school, children gain an all-round education and achieve their potential not only in the academic field but also in sport and the creative arts. We have planned to update the standard of our school digitally, with all the features that support a genuine online presence.
To take that ambitious project forward we are collaborating with Techimpace Innovations, whose Academica ERP platform supports the academic well-being of the students.

Infrastructure is only the beginning
