Academic Results

The results that never make the newspaper

Between the two board examinations sit twelve years of weekly tests, unit tests and semester examinations. This is how they are assessed, and where a parent can see them.

Where To Look

Three places a result is published

Internal results go to parents directly; board results are declared by the examining council.

The school app

Marks, attendance and notices reach parents through the Academica school app, which is where internal results are published first.

The parent portal

The same record — examinations, attendance and fee history — is on the web portal, for parents who would rather use a browser.

Board results

HSLC and Higher Secondary results are declared by SEBA and AHSEC. The school's batch-wise record is published on this site.

The Assessment Cycle

Three rhythms, running at once

Nothing waits for the end of the year. A weak week shows up in a class test long before it can show up on a report card.

Every week

Class tests

Every subject teacher holds a class test each week, to improve the students' capacity for understanding.

Mid-semester

Unit test

A unit test in the middle of each semester assesses the student's thorough comprehension of the curriculum so far.

End of semester

Semester examination

Two semesters make up the academic year, with an examination at the conclusion of each.

On The Report Card

More than the marks in each subject

Under CCE, students are graded on ethical behaviour, dexterity, inventiveness, equilibrium, collaborative effort, oratory skills and work-experience competencies alongside their academic assessments.

The intention is to gauge a child's abilities and convey a complete understanding of their aptitude — and to let a student who struggles academically demonstrate their talent in the arts, the humanities, sports and games.

Talk it through at the Open House

From time to time the school holds an Open House, when parents can discuss the progress of their children with the teachers. In case of need, parents may meet the child's teacher with a prior appointment and the permission of the Principal.

Note

Class-wise and year-wise internal result tables are not published on this website. They are issued to each family directly through the school app and the parent portal, and the office holds the record.
